Life Is For Living

One of the things I love about owning my own internet business is that I can work anywhere in the world.  As I write this post, I’m in Canada, a few miles from Niagara Falls.  My daughter and I are sitting outside, enjoying a beautiful campfire.

We’re spending 7 weeks this summer, exploring the U.S.  

As we’ve been enjoying Niagara Falls, swimming in the Niagara River, and playing with butterflies, you’ve been on my mind.

So many people contact me every day, distressed about losing their jobs.  Worried about mounting debt.  Often they’re tied to a job that either they hate (but are afraid of losing) or one that doesn’t compensate them adequately.

It doesn’t have to be that way.

To Have The Life You Want - Live The Life You Want!

Are you just existing in your life or really living it?  Someone recently emailed me and told me that he wanted my life. 

You know I didn’t always have this life.  The way I got it was that I started living the life I wanted and then I got that life.  Last summer, when I was unemployed, didn’t have my own business…or any income…..I knew I wanted to explore the country with my daughter.  So we did. We took off, headed for the Grand Canyon,  Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Sedona, Estes Park, the CA Coast and many points in between.  We had an amazing time.

Love Every Moment

While we were on that trip, I made a point of really being in the moment, every moment.  No matter what we were doing, I made a point of relishing and being grateful for every experience.

I also had in the back of my mind that in 2008, we’d head east to Niagara Falls, Wisconsin Dells, etc. 

And, by Divine Intervention, it’s here.  We’re in Niagara.  “Camping” in a 45 foot motor home.  Having the time of our lives.

You know what I’m doing this trip? I’m in the moment, every moment.  Every time I toss my daughter in the pool or the Niagara River, I look in her eyes and enjoy the beauty. Yesterday as we swam in the rain, I fully absorbed the feel of the water and the sound the rain made as it hit the river.  It was amazing.  When I look at the Falls, I send words of gratitude that they exist and that I’m experiencing them.

In my next post, I’m going to talk about playing full on and how a mom from CA and a Grandma from Illinois got an entire campground full of wallflowers out on the dance floor loving a moment of their life.
